About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate AI Engineer to lead the development of our core AI analysis engine. In this founding engineering role, you will architect and implement machine learning models that analyze 3D CAD geometry in real time, predict manufacturing issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve design manufacturability. Roles & Responsibilities

AI/ML Development

Design and implement ML models for geometric analysis of injection-molded parts.
Build computer vision algorithms for automated feature detection in 3D CAD models.
Develop predictive models for cost estimation, cycle time prediction, and defect analysis.
Create real-time inference engines for browser deployment using TensorFlow.js/ONNX.js.
Design data pipelines for continuous model training and improvement.

Platform Architecture

Architect browser-based AI systems to process large 3D models efficiently.
Integrate STEP/STL file processing with AI workflows.
Develop WebAssembly modules for high-performance geometry computation.
Build scalable model serving infrastructure for real-time analysis.
Implement feedback loops to continuously improve accuracy.

Manufacturing Analysis

Develop DFM algorithms (wall thickness, draft angles, undercuts, gate placement).
Build moldflow simulation capabilities using AI-accelerated CFD techniques.
Create cost optimization engines to recommend manufacturable design changes.
Implement quality prediction models for injection molding defects.
Generate automated reports with actionable insights.

Research & Innovation

Stay current with AI/ML advances in manufacturing and CAD analysis.
Experiment with graph neural networks, neural radiance fields, and 3D learning techniques.
Collaborate with manufacturing experts to validate AI recommendations.
Publish research and represent the company at industry conferences.

Qualifications Required

Technical Expertise

4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with production deployments.
Proficiency in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Experience with 3D geometry processing (Open3D, PCL, or similar).
JavaScript/TypeScript expertise for browser-based AI (TensorFlow.js, ONNX.js).
Computer vision and geometric deep learning experience.
Understanding of CAD file formats (STEP, STL, OBJ) and 3D mesh processing.
Experience with model fine-tuning and optimization.

Software Engineering

WebAssembly development for high-performance applications.
Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) for training and deployment.
Database design for large geometric datasets.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Mathematical Foundation

Strong background in linear algebra, calculus, and computational geometry.
Knowledge of statistics, probability, and optimization algorithms.
