About the Job/Role

We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to drive Agentic AI initiatives across Hitachi Digital. This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing AI models using Agentic AI and Agent Workspace for Google Gemini and EMa.AI, while building new AI products and enhancing existing models for performance, scalability, and accuracy. The role requires strategic leadership in AI technology adoption and innovation across multiple operational companies (OpCos) and departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI models and algorithms using Agentic AI and Agent Workspace for Google Gemini and EMa.AI.
Drive new AI initiatives and enhance existing Agentic AI capabilities for better performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
Conduct research and stay updated on the latest AI advancements, methodologies, and frameworks.
Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy, and troubleshoot complex AI system issues.
Document AI development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Mentor junior developers, provide code reviews, and offer constructive feedback.
Provide strategic direction and leadership in AI technology adoption and innovation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field; PhD preferred.
10+ years of experience in AI model development, with focus on Agentic AI and Agent Workspace for Google Gemini and EMa.AI.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); knowledge of AWS or Azure is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Proficiency with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and natural language processing.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to guide AI projects from conception to deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with data science tools and techniques.
Prior experience in a similar tech-driven organization or role.
Experience with GPU-based AI model development.
